Cambodia

We arrived in our hostel in Siam Reap. When you buy a one day ticket for Angkor Wat, you can go there after 5 o'clock (I think) and watch the sunset. So we did.

If they look a bit exhausted, its because you have to climb some very hillside and some very steep stairs to get up here.

If you are lazy you can do the elephanttaxi...

Some sunset and a airballon, if you are a rich tourist.

Well... It was pretty crowded up here...

But some originals could be found too.

The show is over and we are getting ready for going down again. (Yes Sverre it IS a nice reflective bag you have...)

Conrad is looking for something to eat between Jennis toes.

The next day, we had our big Angkor Wat day. This is the entrance to the big area called Angkor Thom. There are four entrances pointing south, east, north and west. On the left is 54 gods and on the right 54 demons. I think 54 and 108 is special numbers in buddhism. (They love numbers in buddhism)

The Bayon is one of the temples inside Angkor Thom.

With a very nice... Ehm, what is the word? in Danish: "Frise" (Knud Almer styrer!) This goes all the way around the tempel showing some ancient war.

After that we went to Ta Prohm, the temple ruin, where the jungle is still ruling.

Don't mess with these trees... (Nice and straight Conlad...)

The trees are growing in and on the ruins...

Family picture...

Some part of Tomb Raider was actually filmed in these ruins... But we didn't meet Angelina Jolie.

Okay okay, I know... A lot of pictures from here, but it was such a great ruin.

And then my battery died. So actually there is no pictures from the main attraction... The Angkor Wat. I am waiting for Conlad to give me some of his pictures.
